The week started really active.
In the morning, Paul, Tamara and Clémence played music for a children camp. It was their first day. They didn't know each other. Clémence and Tamara created a workshop with one group of children. They talked about their countries, played some games with them. The children were really happy, Tamara and Clémence were really surprised how much they knew about France and Italy.
After this, all of us prepared the football tournament. It was a great day, with great weather. You can read more details about it in the article.
The days after we finish the garden with some children. We planted mint, lavender, tarragon, sage and basil. We are looking forward to see all of this growing during the summer. Also, we want to show a movie outside. So for this we build a a structure to support a screen.
Then built a bowling game. We painted some plastic bottles. It's a great game during the summer to play outside.
On Thursday we went to Zeimuls and played some games with the children of the camp. They were really happy and really active.
On Monday, Tuesday,Wednesday and Thursday, Georgiana, Aija and Vlad participated to a training organised by another EVS volunteer, Almi, in Saldus. They spent 2 days in a very beautiful camping ground, where they learned a lot of interesting things about what it means to be a leader. Splitted in 3 gropus they participated in different nonformal activities aimed to show the importance of communication, time management, resource management, feedback, teamwork etc.
In the third day they visit a youth center in Pampali, 2 museums and a ceramic center.They made new friends, shared a lot of impresions with youth and volunteers from other cities and they enjoyed a lot all the time spend in this training.
After that Georgiana decided to visit the west part of Latvia. She spend 2 days in Liepaja and Ventspils where she was impressed by the landscape and the beauty of these cities.
Clemence during the weekend went to visit Jurmala with Erasmus students. For them this was the last weekend in Latvia.
